This one is a really basic one that anybody could think of, but just for the sake of posting, here it is: Bring a picture of you and your family and introduce each person to the kids: "This is my father. My father is big (or small, or whatever)" Then get the kids to bring a picture of their own families (if your school is OK with that) or at least a drawing and have two or three introduce their family in front of the class. If you think your kids can do it, go further and give them a few minutes to introduce their family to their friends in a group work: everybody walk freely in the classroom and introduce his/her family to the friends they choose. Kids usually like this kind of activity because they can do it on their own.
